Cesar Gerardo Gomez

Prof. Dr. Cesar Gerardo Gomez currently holds a position as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentina. Additionally, Dr. Gomez has been an Adjunct Researcher at CONICET since 2009. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a specialization in organic chemistry from UNC in 1993, and his postgraduate degree of Doctor in Chemical Sciences from UNC in 2002.

His research focuses on the synthesis of monomers and new polymers, as well as surface modification reactions of films and other polymeric supports to develop devices with specific roles. Areas of high interest include surfaces with antimicrobial and antioxidant activity and the development of polymeric catalysts. He has published over 27 articles in international journals and participated in more than 78 international and national scientific events. With an h-index of 10, he has been cited over 407 times as of June 2018 (Scopus).

Currently, he provides a high-level technological service (STAN) related to the analysis of polymeric formulations applicable to commercial and industrial uses. He has also provided analysis and consulting services on the characterization of polymeric materials to numerous national companies through CEQUIMAP-Faculty of Chemical Sciences (UNC).
