Ezequiel Pérez is an Associate Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). He received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technological University (UTN-Gral. Pacheco) and his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). His doctoral research focused on the processing, characterization, and evaluation of the mechanical behavior of thermoplastic-based composites reinforced with rigid particles. Mechanical studies encompassed tests under different loading conditions, analysis of curves and characteristic parameters, application of theoretical models, and numerical simulations aimed at relating experimental results to various parameters and characteristics involved.
Currently, he is working on the development of biodegradable materials and implants for traumatological applications, with the aim of implementing them at an industrial level. Additionally, he provides technical assistance to local implant manufacturers. On the other hand, he is involved in the study of the mechanical behavior of products obtained by additive manufacturing (3D printing) and in the development of theoretical models and numerical simulations related to the mechanical behavior of composite materials and implants.
