Facundo Mattea is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the National University of Córdoba and an Independent Researcher at CONICET. His activities are related to the development of processes and polymeric materials for applications in radiomedicine, nanomedicine, controlled drug release, release of active ingredients for the food industry, and more. He has experience in processes employing high-pressure or supercritical fluids for obtaining high-value-added products, nanoparticles, and materials for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
He has published over 45 articles in international scientific journals and participated in more than 90 national and international scientific events. His h-index is 18 with over 1250 citations (May 2024 – Scopus). Currently, he offers a high-level technological service (STAN) related to the analysis of polymeric formulations for commercial or industrial uses. His main research projects are closely linked to the design of materials with X-ray dosimetry capabilities, the design and production of polymeric materials for enhanced oil recovery, particle formation by supercritical precipitation, and the production of porous materials from organic gels.
